New Hampshire Council of ChurchesMISSIONThe New Hampshire Council of Churches, a community of Christian denominations, Celebrates the oneness of God, promotes education, prayer and worship, and acts for justice, peace and integrity of creation so we manifest God's love in New Hampshire for all people. Values and BeliefsThese are the values and beliefs that underlie our work as a community of Christian denominations in New Hampshire. These values and beliefs guide us in making our decisions and allocating our resources. They are the foundation for our goals and actions. CompassionGod cares deeply for all people. We bear witness to God's compassion and forgiveness through our daily actions with others locally, statewide and globally. Christ's commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves guides us. StewardshipWe commit to thoughtful, responsible stewardship of God's creation. Stewardship encompasses collective resources of people's energy, time and money. We recognize that by working collaboratively we are more faithful servants. MutualityAs a Christian council of churches, one body in Christ, we live in a discipleship of equals. We appreciate, respect and honor the richness of our diversity. We strive to transcend the separateness of our individual denominations and create opportunities for dialogue, cooperation, collaboration and unity. InclusivenessWe see ourselves as members of God's diverse human family. We strive to be sensitive and understanding of the beliefs of others beyond the boundaries of the Christian community. We look for ways to provide leadership and advocacy for cooperative action and dialogue. Revised March 18, 2004
