Currrent Legislative Priorities

Moral Budget/Economic Justice - A moral budget reflects our shared responsibility to ensure the well-being of every person, especially those living in poverty, by prioritizing investment in human dignity over political expediency. Rooted in our faith traditions and decades of advocacy, we call for economic policies that uphold compassion and the common good—as commanded by our sacred texts to uplift the vulnerable.

Access to Healthcare - Access to healthcare is a human right and a matter of justice. We call for a healthcare system that prioritizes healing, dignity, and equity—ensuring all people, especially the poor and marginalized, receive the care they need to thrive.

Racial Justice - Every person is an image of God and deserves to live free from the burden of racism. We are committed to dismantling white supremacy in all its forms and advancing racial justice through faithful witness, courageous truth-telling, and transformative action.

Civil Rights - Protecting civil rights is a sacred obligation rooted in the biblical call to love our neighbors and seek justice. We advocate for policies that uphold freedom, equality, and dignity for all—especially communities historically denied full participation in society. This includes protecting the right to vote, ensuring equal access to public education, and opposing laws that target or exclude vulnerable groups.

Creation Care- We are called to be faithful stewards of creation. We support bold climate action, environmental justice, and policies that protect our planet and all who depend on it, especially those most affected by environmental harm.
