On May 15, 2025, the second in our 3-part series was held. This video contains 6 different 3-minute introductory descriptions of how the rhetoric and/or policy activity of Christian nationalism harms a particular segment of society. The second part of this event, the workgroup breakout rooms, were not recorded. This video closes with the third part of the event where each workgroup shares a report out of their session.
The evening’s speakers were Rabbi Donna Kirshbaum, James McKim, Manny Espitia, Linds Jakows, Karishma Manzur, Will Thomas, Sebastian Fuentes, Maggie Fogarty, Kate Harmon Siberine, and Lisa Beaudoin. The rhetoric of Christian nationalism permeates many corners of society. During the 1st conversation (March 16th) attendees heard a description of Christian nationalism’s impact on a number of different target groups. Tonight, we began with 7 different speakers who shared a 3-minute introduction on a specific way Christian nationalism is impacting their community or a policy sector. After that, attendees chose which speaker they wanted to join in a workgroup breakout room. Topic leaders presented a bit of a deeper dive of information on their topic area, followed by Q & A, and then was a 10-20 minutes on how to get involved in countering Christian nationalism. Around 7:30pm there was time for the workgroups to report out. Below are notes/slides from 4 of the 6 presenters as well as the video.
